TIPS

Who to Ask

  • Family and friends
  • Ask someone you've donated to or helped out in the past
  • Coworkers and teammates
  • Clubs, associations, or social groups you're involved with

Fundraising Ideas

  •  Focus on 10 people you’d like to get a donation from
  • Donate $50 to yourself and dare others to match it
  • Think of fun and interesting incentives to entice donations
  • Ask your donors to each ask one of their friends to support you
  • Share your fundraiser on social media

Share Why You are Fundraising

When you believe in both the why  and the how behind your fundraiser, that energy shines through, inspiring others to get involved and give.

Set a Goal

Great fundraisers begin with a clear goal and confident ambition. Be realistic, but don’t be afraid to aim big. Leading with your own donation is a strong signal of dedication and can encourage others to follow your example.

Dear [Name],

I’m participating in the Smash Out Skin Cancer Celebrity Pickleball fundraiser and reaching out to my community to join me in supporting this important cause.

With every rally, dink, and smash, we’re helping to support the skin cancer community.

Funds raised go toward providing UV protection for the next generation, enabling earlier detection in remote communities, and supporting patients throughout their melanoma journey.

[Insert a personal message about your connection to the cause or why this event is meaningful to you.]

Will you help me smash our team’s $2,000 fundraising goal? Every donation, no matter the size, makes a real difference.

Thank you so much for your support.

Warm regards,

I’m proud to be representing [Company Name] in the Smash Out Skin Cancer pickleball fundraiser and reaching out to ask for your support.

As part of my fundraising efforts, I’m inviting my workplace community to consider a $50 donation to help make a meaningful impact.

Funds raised support skin cancer prevention, early detection in underserved communities, and care for those navigating melanoma.

Social Media Post 2

As pickleball players, we spend long hours in the sun, putting us at a higher risk of skin cancer. On May 30th I’m stepping out on the court for the Smash Out Skin Cancer - Celebrity Pickleball Tournament presented by Eucerin in support of Melanoma Canada.

This event isn’t just about the game -

It’s about raising awareness and supporting sun safety initiatives. Funds raised go toward providing UV protection for the next generation, enabling earlier detection in remote communities, and supporting patients throughout their melanoma journey.
